Yu Stay Home sits on Nguyễn Trãi street in District 1, with cafés and restaurants at close range: Bò Cay, MR. Potato - Lê Lai and Go Thai Noodle are each about 50 m away. Within a few hundred metres are Chùa An Lạc, a Buddhist pagoda 250 m away, and Sri Mariamman Temple, a Hindu temple 350 m off. Both are an easy walk from the apartment, so they fit between visits to the museums and markets nearby.
Tan Son Nhat International Airport is 5.3 km away and Saigon Railway Station is 2.1 km away. For long-distance coaches, Bến xe Sài Gòn bus station is 500 m away, and Ben Thanh Station is 550 m away. Most of the sights in this part of District 1 are close enough to walk to, so you will mainly need transport for the airport, the railway station or trips further afield.
Ben Thanh Market, 600 m away, is the best-known place in the district for food, clothing and souvenirs, and its stalls are a practical stop for a meal before or after the museums. Independence Palace, the former presidential palace, is 800 m away, with its grounds and historic rooms. Tao Dan Park, 450 m away, is a green space for a rest between sights, and the Ho Chi Minh City Fine Arts Museum, 700 m away, displays Vietnamese paintings and sculpture. Most of these sights are a short walk from the apartment, so a day on foot in the centre is simple.
